Our Story

Villa Angelina was once the private residence of the renowned Italian footballer Franco Baresi, admired for its beauty and serene countryside setting. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and open landscape, the villa has long embodied the quiet charm of Tuscany.

Years later, the estate captured the attention of Umberto Sorbo, an Italian entrepreneur raised in the United States, who felt a deep desire to return to his roots. From the moment he arrived, he saw not just a home, but a story waiting to be continued. With great sensitivity and respect for its heritage, Umberto carefully restored Villa Angelina, preserving its character while introducing modern comfort and understated elegance.

His vision was inspired by the traditions of the Valdichiana region, where rural life has always been shaped by simplicity, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the land. At Villa Angelina, this heritage lives on in its details, most notably in its historic wood-fired pizza oven, once used by local farmers to bake traditional pizzas. Today, it remains one of the villa’s most distinctive features and a lasting symbol of its authentic Tuscan roots.

Today, Villa Angelina reflects Umberto’s vision, a graceful retreat where history, beauty, and contemporary luxury come together to create an atmosphere that feels intimate, refined, and unforgettable.
